This license applies to Appbricx from the commit that added it (12 October 2026) onward. Earlier versions of Appbricx were released under the MIT License, and copies you already received under MIT stay under MIT. Appbricx Self-Hosted License Copyright (c) 2026 appbricx Works LLC ("Appbricx", "we", "us") This is a source-available license. It is not an open source license. It explains, in plain English, what you may and may not do with the Appbricx source code in this repository (the "Software"). 1. What you may do without paying a. Read the source code. b. Copy and modify the Software. c. Run the Software, including your modified versions, for evaluation, development and testing. For example: on your laptop, in a CI pipeline, or on a staging server that real end users do not rely on. d. Send us changes (see CONTRIBUTING.md). 2. Production self-hosting needs a paid license Running the Software in production on servers that you or your organisation control ("self-hosting") requires a self-host license bought from Appbricx. "Production" means any use where real users, customers or business processes depend on the Software, whether or not you charge for it. a. The self-host license is a one-time purchase. The current price is published on https://appbricx.com/pricing and is defined in packages/shared/src/pricing.ts. b. It includes 12 months of updates from the date of purchase. c. After those 12 months, the versions you received during that period keep working, and you may keep running them in production for as long as you like. Newer versions need a renewed license. d. To buy a license, write to contact@appbricx.com. Using Appbricx through our hosted service (appbricx.com) or a private cloud deployment that we operate for you is covered by the agreement for that service, not by this section. 3. What you may not do a. You may not sell, resell, rent, lease or sublicense the Software, or a modified version of it, to anyone else. b. You may not offer the Software, or a modified version of it, as a hosted or managed service to third parties, for example as an app builder, backend or hosting platform that other people or companies sign up for, whether or not you charge for it. c. You may not remove or obscure this license, the copyright notice, or any licensing or attribution notices in the Software. d. You may not use the Software in production without a valid self-host license (section 2), except through a service we operate. 4. Apps you build The apps, code, data and content you create with the Software, and the code you export from it, belong to you, and this license does not restrict them. When an exported app includes parts of the Software (such as the vendored @app/kit), you may use, modify, run and distribute those parts as part of that app, in production or not, without a self-host license. Keep the notices that come with them. 5. Third-party components The Software includes third-party components that are licensed to you under their own terms (for example MIT, ISC, Apache-2.0 or SIL OFL 1.1). Those terms continue to apply to those components, and nothing in this license limits them. Their notices are listed in NOTICE.md and in the files themselves, and you must keep them in any copy you make. 6. Contributions If you send us a contribution, you agree that we may use it under this license and any other license we choose for Appbricx. 7. Ending this license If you break these terms, your rights under this license end automatically. They come back if you fix the problem within 30 days of learning about it, unless it is the second time. 8. No warranty and limited liability THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, IN NO EVENT SHALL APPBRICX OR ITS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE. A paid self-host license may include its own support and warranty terms; where it does, those terms apply to that license. Questions about this license: contact@appbricx.com
