Pinecone

Upsert and query vector embeddings in Pinecone indexes. In Appbricx, your workflows and server functions call it by name once it is connected.

What you can do

7 actions, each one call from a workflow or a server function. Triggers come from your app: a row changing, a schedule or a webhook.

  • Create Indexcreate_index
    Creates a new Pinecone index with custom settings.
  • Delete a Vectordelete_vector
    Delete vectors by ID from a namespace.
  • Get a Vectorget_vector
    Look up and return vectors by ID from a namespace.
  • Search Indexsearch_index
    Search indexes by name or list all indexes in your project.
  • Search Vectorssearch_vector
    Search a namespace using a query vector to find similar records.
  • Update a Vectorupdate_vector
    Updates a vector in a namespace. Overwrites existing values and metadata.
  • Upsert Vectorupsert_vector
    Upsert vectors into a namespace. Overwrites existing vectors with the same ID.

Set it up

About two minutes, once per project or once for the whole workspace.

  1. Open Integrations in the builder

    Backend panel, Integrations tab, then Pinecone. To connect it for every project, use Workspace settings, Integrations.

  2. Add your credentials

    An API key (or token) from your Pinecone account, pasted once. It is stored encrypted and only read on the server when an action runs.

    • API key From Pinecone's settings
  3. Call an action

    From a workflow, by integration id and action name. The call answers with success, output and, when it fails, the reason.

    Workflow
    // .workflow.js (native ctx)
    export async function run(ctx) {
      const res = await ctx.integrations.invoke("pinecone", "create_index", {
        "name": "<index name>",
        "dimension": 1,
        "indexType": "serverless"
      });
      if (!res.success) throw new Error(res.error);
      ctx.log.info("Pinecone answered", { output: res.output });
    }
