Twilio

Send SMS messages and make phone calls with Twilio. In Appbricx, your workflows and server functions call it by name once it is connected.

What you can do

6 actions, each one call from a workflow or a server function. Triggers come from your app: a row changing, a schedule or a webhook.

  • Get Messageget_message
    Retrieves the details of a specific message.
  • Call Phonemake_call
    Call a number and say a message.
  • Send SMSsend_sms
    Send a new SMS message
  • Download Recording Mediadownload_recording_media
    Download the media file for a specific recording.
  • Phone Number Lookupphone_number_lookup
    Lookup information about a phone number.
  • Custom API Callcustom_api_call
    Make a custom API call to a specific endpoint

Set it up

About two minutes, once per project or once for the whole workspace.

  1. Open Integrations in the builder

    Backend panel, Integrations tab, then Twilio. To connect it for every project, use Workspace settings, Integrations.

  2. Add your credentials

    Fill in the fields the provider needs (listed below). They are stored encrypted in the vault.

    • Account SID Your Twilio Account SID
    • Auth Token Your Twilio Auth Token
  3. Call an action

    From a workflow, by integration id and action name. The call answers with success, output and, when it fails, the reason.

    Workflow
    // .workflow.js (native ctx)
    export async function run(ctx) {
      const res = await ctx.integrations.invoke("twilio", "get_message", {
        "message_sid": "<message sid>"
      });
      if (!res.success) throw new Error(res.error);
      ctx.log.info("Twilio answered", { output: res.output });
    }

Templates that use Twilio

Add one to your app and it arrives wired to Twilio: connect it and the workflows run.
